Man allegedly contacts wife, back in jail

ALFRED — A Lyman man is back behind bars at York County Jail for allegedly trying to contact his wife after he was arrested Saturday for firing a weapon as the woman and a child were leaving the residence.

Maine State Police allege Glen Waterman, 32, fired a gun through a screened window during an argument with his wife Saturday. He was charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon that day and taken to jail. Waterman was later released on $500 bail.

On Monday, state police said they learned Waterman had been sending messages to his spouse by email and social media – an alleged violation of his bail conditions from his earlier arrest. He was taken back to York County Jail, where he is now held without bail.
