Biddeford ‘jungle’ site of Saturday safari


LIZ GOTTHELF/Journal Tribune LIZ GOTTHELF/Journal Tribune Trees stand in the forefront of a trail at Clifford Park at 130 Pool St. in Biddeford Wednesday afternoon. Maine Coast Heritage Trust, the Friends of Clifford Park and Heart of Biddeford are sponsoring a nature safari and treasure hunt at the park from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. Kids of all ages and their families will follow a safari through the woods on the park’s marked trails in search of five hidden stations, where they will learn something about nature and find a surprise. Everyone completing the safari will collect a prize at the end.
