Art on display at Goodall Memorial

SANFORD — The artwork of Pauline Bergeron will be on display during the months of September, October and November at Goodall Memorial Library, 952 Main St.

Bergeron’s love for art began when a friend gave her a small canvas, a palette with paint, a palette knife, a brush and a quick lesson on how to transform a blank canvas into a magical forest with a stream. Bergeron quickly developed an interest in oil painting, and began taking lessons from local artists. Over the years, her interests grew to include seascapes, landscapes, and scenes of coastal marshes and forests.

Her work has been exhibited as part of group shows at the Roux and Cyr International Fine Art Gallery, Maine Women in the Arts, Sanford Springvale Art Gallery, and various art shows. A solo exhibit can also be found at Salon Burke in Portland.

Bergeron is a member of the Maine Women in the Arts and the Sanford Springvale Art Association.

Born and raised in Sanford, Bergeron lives with her husband John in New Gloucester and spends summers at Wells Beach.

For more information, Bergeron can be contacted at 577-0811 or by email at pabf0155@gmail.com.
