Man apprehended in Manhattan bombing

NEW YORK — According to the New York Times and The Associated Press, the man believed to be behind the bombing in New York City over the weekend is in custody. 

Ahman Khan Rahami, who was described as a naturalized citizen of Afghan descent, was arrested after police issued a cell phone alert telling residents in the area to lookout for the suspect who police described as “armed and dangerous.”

Rahami, was living with his family in Elizabeth, New Jersey, according to the Times. He was identified on surveillance video near the locations of the bomb that exploded in Chelsea and another device that didn’t explode several blocks away.
