Tuesday, Sept. 27

A college fair will be held at the University of Southern Maine’s Gorham campus from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the field house of the Costello Sports Complex. Representatives from more than 160 colleges and universities be there.

USM’s Office of Financial Aid, the Finance Authority of Maine (famemaine.com) and the New England Board of Higher Education (nebhe.org) are scheduled to have representatives at the fair.

Harry Potter Night will be held at the Dyer Library/ Saco Museum from 6-7:30 p.m. The event is being held in conjunction with Banned and Challenged Book Week.

The library will be transformed into Hogwarts, the magic school for wizards from the books. There will be prizes and refreshments.

Wednesday, Sept. 28

Coloring Calm, a coloring workshop located in the Louis B. Goodall Memorial Library in Sanford, continues from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Community Room. Coloring sheets and supplies will be provided (or you can bring your own).

Color in a relaxing group setting with music and refreshments provided. Adult coloring, a focused and meditative activity, has been shown to have many positive benefits, both mental and physical. For more information, contact Deidre or Jean at 324-4714 or visit lbgoodall.org.

First Parish Congregational Church at the corner of Beach and Main streets in Saco invites the community to a Comfort and Hope Service at 7 p.m. All participation is freely chosen, and all of what is shared is understood as confidential.
