Biddeford Police Investigate Alleged Stabbing

Staff Reports

BIDDEFORD – Police are investigating a possible stabbing that occurred early this morning.

Police responded to a call at 5 York Court at 5 a.m. regarding a possible stabbing, according to Deputy Police Chief JoAnne Fisk.

A 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, both from Portland, were found at the address with stab wounds. The two men were initially taken to Southern Maine Health Care, then transferred to Maine Medical Center for further treatment, said Fisk.

“Witnesses are being less than cooperative in the investigation,” said Fisk this afternoon, and detectives were at Maine Medical Center attempting to interview both men.

She said police do not believe there is a threat to the public.
