ALFRED — Citing accessibility for those doing business at the court, the York County Courthouse Site Selection Commission voted 12-6 Friday in favor of a Biddeford location over  Alfred for a new consolidated courthouse.

The members voted unanimously for a 12-acre city-owned parcel in the 500 block of Elm Street, U.S, Route 1, over another Biddeford location on Barra Road.

The property is owned by the city of Biddeford and carries a purchase price of $650, 000.
