Tuttle, Stackpole win Sanford Council

SANFORD — Incumbent John Tuttle and former School Committee chairman Robert Stackpole were elected to the City Council Tuesday.

Tuttle, a former longtime state legislator, was the top vote-getter  in Tuesday’s polling, earning 4,977 votes. Stackpole earned 3,708. Other candidates in the running for the two, three-year terms were  were Christopher Signore with 2,419 votes;  Victor DiGregorio with 1,864; Jeremy Mele with 1,515 and Richard Terril, with 895.
