Church welcomes new pastor, announces new service times

Crossroads United Methodist Church welcomed a new pastor Nov. 27. Pastor Jean Main has been the pastor at Bethany UMC in East Rochester, New Hampshire, for 10 years. She graduated from Wesley Seminary in 2015. She currently resides in Lebanon with her husband of 47 years. She was a resident of Sanford many years ago and was employed at the former Goodall Hospital, according to a church spokeswoman.

As well as welcoming the new pastor, the church has changed worship times. Worship is held weekly at the church at 16 Grammar Road in Sanford. Service begins at 8:45 a.m. Sundays. Child care is provided with Christian-based lessons and stories. For those who like to sing, the choir meets at 6 p.m. Monday evenings. The womens’ group meets on the third Tuesday of each month with a shared meal followed by a brief business meeting and a program. Crossroads is located at the corner of Route 202 and Grammar Road (across from North Country Tractor). For more information, call 324-4750.
