Mainers hire Sanford native Kallis as intern

SANFORD — Sanford native and May 2017 graduate of Plymouth State University, Hannah Kallis has been hired as the first Business Office Intern for the Sanford Mainers baseball team for the spring semester.

This is the first time the Mainers have offered this position, extended their internship program to include opportunities to work for the team outside of the summer season.

“There is really so much more that goes on outside of the regular season, that we felt we could really benefit students looking to get into sports business or marketing programs,” Mainers Vice-Chairman Jacob Ouellette said.

Kallis is currently wrapping up her senior year at Plymouth State, majoring in Marketing. Since an early age, Kallis has been involved in athletics, including a four-year starter for the Panthers’ women’s soccer program.

During her time at PSU she was the recipient of many awards. Kallis received the Offensive Most Valuable Player Award during her junior and senior years, including the Golden Boot Award during the same two seasons. She was also selected to the Little East All-Conference Team this past season.
