Police seeking suspect accused of domestic violence

LEBANON — Maine State Police are looking for a missing Lebanon man who is a suspect in a domestic violence case in that town.

State Police said on their social media accounts Thursday they are looking for Dale Godfrey, 52, of Lebanon, whose whereabouts are currently unknown.

Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety, said in an email Thursday that Godfrey fled in his pickup truck following the alleged assault around 4 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Trooper Kyle Wells found the pickup a few miles away, McCausland said, although Godfrey was not found. The victim, whose name has not been released, was treated for her injuries and released.

If anyone has seen or heard from Godfrey, they are asked to contact the State Police in Gray at 657-3030.
