Tigers top Maine Girls Academy 14-12

BIDDEFORD — The Biddeford girls lacrosse team topped Maine Girls Academy 14-12 on Tuesday.

Peyton McKeown led the Tigers with five goals and an assist while Paige Laverriere added four goals and two assists. Ella Mckenzie and Eliza Gilliam combined for 11 saves while a total of seven Tigers scored.

MGA’s Catherine Reid led the Lions with a game-high eight goals while Zoe Mazur added three. Lily Lacasse recorded 18 saves on the day.

The Tigers improve to 4-0 to start the season.

Falmouth 14, Wells 2

Falmouth cruised to a big 14-2 win over Wells on Tuesday. Aimely Michaud-Nolan and Alyssa Loukola netted the Warriors’ two goals.

Sanford 17, Westbrook 9

The Spartans gutted out a tough 17-9 win over Westbrook on Tuesday.

Maddie Leigh led Sanford with a game-high six goals and an assist, while Lauren Lapierre added four goals and an assist. Valentina Drown added three goals, while Megan O’Connell scored three goals and collected three assists. Eva Belanger added a score, while Delaney Tanguay recorded two assists.

McKenzie Doughty led Westbrook with three goals while Kaitlyn Talbot scored twice. Mary Keef, Kiersten Hilton, Alexis Witham and K.K. Rassell scored one apiece.

Wells 7, Cape Elizabeth

The Warriors continued their impressive spring, shutting out the Capers 7-0.
