CAPE ELIZABETH – Cape Elizabeth scored four runs in the fourth inning Thursday and went on to a 6-4 victory against Greely, sending the Rangers to their first Western Maine Conference baseball loss of the season.

Chad Peterson had a two-run double and Zach Culver added an RBI double for Cape (10-6) in the big inning. Sam Kozlowski also drove in a run.

Patrick Finnegan had two RBI and Mike McDevitt scored a pair of runs for Greely (14-1).

SOUTH PORTLAND 9, CHEVERUS 6: Jon Vickers went 3 for 3 with an RBI and two runs to lead the Red Riots (6-10) over Cheverus (10-6) at South Portland.

The Red Riots took a 5-0 lead after the first two innings, but Cheverus got four runs back in the third, including a two-run single by Jensen LaPointe.

With the score tied 6-6 in the bottom of the sixth, Vickers led off with a walk and Nick Whitten singled. Adam Helmke then drove in the go-ahead run for South Portland. Whitten finished with two RBI and two runs.

PORTLAND 3, BIDDEFORD 2: Dan Kane drove in Caleb Fraser with the go-ahead run in a two-run sixth inning as the Bulldogs (8-8) edged the Tigers (6-10) at Portland.

Casey Twomey gave Biddeford a 2-1 lead with a solo home run in the top of the sixth.

Joe Apon singled in the bottom of the inning and scored on a double by Fraser to make it 2-2. Kane followed with his pinch single.

Nate Smart stuck out nine and allowed one walk for Portland.

YARMOUTH 5, YORK 2: Matt Highland had a pair of doubles and finished with three hits to lead the Clippers (10-6) past the Wildcats (11-5) at York.

Derek Neal and Zachary Leal doubled for York.

POLAND 4, FREEPORT 3: Lukas Johnson took a bases-loaded walk to cap a four-run first inning, and the Knights (9-7) held off Freeport (7-9) at Poland.

Freeport rallied with sacrifice flies from Cole Harrison in the third and Nick Cartmell in the sixth. Brian Rhea added an RBI double in the seventh.

KENNEBUNK 5, DEERING 1: Benjamin Lary struck out four, walked two and gave up five hits as Kennebunk (6-10) beat Deering (2-14) at Portland.

After Deering took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Mike Marzilli stole home, Kennebunk moved ahead with a two-run third.

Caleb Burpee and Max Kendall singled home runs for Kennebunk.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 12, MEDOMAK VALLEY 7: Travis Creamer went 2 for 4 with two RBI and two runs for the Eagles (8-8), who broke a tie with a five-run seventh against the Panthers (2-14) at Waldoboro.

Timmy Farrar and A.J. Oliver each drove in a pair of runs and scored once, and Chris Gove also had two RBI for Lincoln.

Micah Williamson had three hits and scored three times for Medomak, which led 6-1 after three innings.

FALMOUTH 6, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 4: Thomas Fortier doubled and Connor Aube followed with a two-run single in the eighth inning to lift the Yachtsmen (14-2) over the Patriots (5-11) at Gray.

Will D’Agostino closed the game with three shutout innings for Falmouth, which rallied to tie with a four-run fifth.

James Magno had three hits and scored twice for Gray-New Gloucester.

WAYNFLETE 7, TRAIP ACADEMY 6: Matt Jarrell had two hits, including a bunt single in the fifth inning that helped the Flyers (8-6) down Traip Academy (4-12) at Portland.

Nik Morrill added two hits and drove in two runs for Waynflete.

RICHMOND 12, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 0: Tyler Soucy had a triple, two singles and two RBI as the Bobcats (6-0) won in five innings at Richmond.

Xavier Trask added a double and Colin Acord had two singles for Richmond. Eddie Stewart and Randy Moody combined on a no-hitter.

SOUTH PORTLAND 21, BIDDEFORD 3: Thomas Leddy scored nine goals as the Red Riots (10-2) rolled past the Tigers (2-10) at Biddeford.

Andrew Whipple had three goals and six assists, and Duncan Preston added three goals and four assists.

CHEVERUS 9, MARSHWOOD 8: Tom Lawson tied the game and Jack Sutton added the winner for the Stags (10-2), who scored two goals in the final 1:38 to rally past the Hawks (7-5) at Portland.

Sutton finished with five goals and one assist, and Nick Schleh added two goals and an assist for Cheverus.

Justin Hockney had three goals and Matt Scremin added two for Marshwood.

OAK HILL 14, OXFORD HILLS 2: Kyle Flaherty had four goals and one assist as the Raiders (9-3) cruised at Wales.

Brian Daniels added four goals, and Jon Averill had two goals and two assists for Oak Hill.

WELLS 17, LAKE REGION 4: Brandon Morton had five goals and Spencer Sibley scored four as the Warriors (9-3) upended the Lakers (2-10) at Wells.
